Solo EV Marketplace ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at marketplace.solo.car. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

• Email address — provided when you sign in. Used to send your one-time sign-in code and transactional notifications about your listings.
• Listing information — title, price, year, generation, color, mileage, VIN, location (city, state/province, country), description, and photos you submit when posting a listing.
• Contact name and phone number — optionally provided when posting a listing, displayed to interested buyers.
• Contact messages — name, email, and message body submitted via the contact form on a listing page. These are forwarded to the seller and not stored on our servers beyond delivery.

How We Use Your Information

• To create and display your listings on the marketplace.
• To authenticate you via email one-time codes (no password stored).
• To notify you when your listing is approved, or when a buyer sends you a message.
• To allow buyers to contact you regarding your listing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Photos and Public Information

Photos and listing details you submit are publicly visible on the marketplace. Do not include personal information (home address, phone number in photos, etc.) that you are not comfortable making public.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on a server hosted by Hetzner (EU-based infrastructure). We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information, but no system is perfectly secure. We recommend using a dedicated email address if you have privacy concerns.

Third-Party Services

• Resend — used to deliver transactional emails (sign-in codes, listing notifications). Your email address is transmitted to Resend for this purpose.
• Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google's CDN. Google may collect standard web request data (IP address) per their own privacy policy.

Cookies and Local Storage

We store a session token in your browser's localStorage to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and listings by emailing us at marketplace@solo.car. Listings you delete are removed immediately.

Your Rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. To exercise these rights, contact us at marketplace@solo.car.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the marketplace after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
