Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of marketplace.solo.car ("the Marketplace"), operated by Solo EV Marketplace. By using the Marketplace you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Marketplace.

What the Marketplace Is

Solo EV Marketplace is a peer-to-peer platform where private individuals can list pre-owned Electra Meccanica Solo electric vehicles for sale, and where buyers can browse and contact sellers. We are not a dealer, broker, or party to any transaction between a buyer and a seller. We do not take custody of vehicles or funds.

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Marketplace.
• The Marketplace is intended for users located in the United States and Canada.
• By creating an account you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are eligible to use the service.

Seller Responsibilities

• You must own the vehicle you list, or have legal authority to sell it.
• All listing information — price, mileage, year, generation, condition, photos — must be accurate and not misleading.
• You are solely responsible for your listing content, including photos. Do not include copyrighted material you do not have rights to.
• Listings are reviewed before going live. We reserve the right to reject or remove any listing that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate, at our sole discretion.
• Once your vehicle is sold or no longer available, you are responsible for removing or marking your listing as sold promptly.
• Listing on the Marketplace is free.

Buyer Responsibilities

• You are solely responsible for conducting your own due diligence before purchasing any vehicle.
• We do not verify the accuracy of listing information and make no warranties about the condition, title, or history of any listed vehicle.
• Never send payment before inspecting the vehicle in person. We are not responsible for transactions that go wrong.
• Inspect the vehicle, verify ownership documents, and consult a mechanic if needed before completing a purchase.

Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings.
• List vehicles you do not own or have authority to sell.
• Use the Marketplace for any purpose other than buying or selling pre-owned Solo EVs.
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users.
• Attempt to circumvent or disable any security feature of the Marketplace.
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically access the Marketplace without prior written consent.
• Use the Marketplace in any way that violates applicable law.

Intellectual Property

The Marketplace interface, design, and code are proprietary. Listing photos and content remain the property of the seller who uploaded them. By submitting a listing, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display your listing content on the Marketplace.

Limitation of Liability

The Marketplace is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any disputes, losses, damages, or claims arising from transactions between buyers and sellers, inaccurate listing information, or interruptions in service.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from use of the Marketplace shall not exceed $100 CAD.

Account Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account and remove your listings at any time, for any reason, including but not limited to violations of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at marketplace@solo.car.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Marketplace after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
